Forged in Smoke's Release is Delayed

For those readers who came here looking for more information on when Forged in Smoke is going to release, I regret to have to tell you that I have no idea at this point. Smoke, along with Ember, has been pushed back. I think Smoke will release sometime in the late spring, early summer of 2015--but I have no hard and fast release date yet, so I'm not completely sure. As soon as I'm given a hard release date I'll update this blog.

In the meantime, to tide my fans over, I'm going to publish a Red-Hot SEAL novella every two to three months, depending on time constraints. The first novella, Bound in Seduction, will release mid-December. My newsletter subscribers will get these novellas for free, so make sure you've signed up for my newsletter, if you haven't already.

Bound in Seduction focuses on the romance between Kait's brother Aidan and her best friend Demi. You might remember Demi from Forged in Ash, she was the coffee cart girl. Here's a sneak peak at the cover.

    Hello. Love, love, love the Red Hot Seals Series! It is soooo good!! You are very talented and I'm very appreciative of your imagination and attention to detail. I was just wondering if you could elaborate on the reason for the delay. I, for one, am very disappointed book #3 is not only not out but it seems will not be release until next spring-- that's a long time!!!:(

    I'm so glad you're enjoying the Red-Hot SEAL books. :)

    As for the reason Smoke was pushed back. That's all my fault. I missed my deadline with my publisher due to health and family issues. Unfortunately, once you miss your publishing deadline with a publisher, you get rotated to the back of their publishing schedule and they put you in the next open release slot. The problem is they schedule their releases so far out, you are looking at months before they have an open slot again. In this case their release slots were full until the summer of 2015. The earliest release date they could move Smoke to was late summer of 2015.

    Anyway, that's the reason behind the delay. Thanks for stopping by!

    Can we also hope for audio versions of the upcoming books? I love Luke Daniels' narration of Forged in Ash, and revisit it often..

    I didn't get it back from the editor in time to upload it to Amazon for it's 1/23 publication date. Since I didn't want to send an unedited book out there, I cancelled the publication date. I'll just upload it for sale as soon as I get it back from the editors and proofers.

    But you can get Bound by Seduction as well as all the other Bound by novellas for free through my newsletter. The first week of Feb I'll send a news letter out with a url to download Seduction in either mobi or epub format. Then it will go up for sale a week or two later.

    Ok so I just binge read both books in two days! I can't wait for the next two releases! The only good thing about finishing the books is I will now be able to sleep lol (I'm totally kidding myself I'm about to read the Demi & Aiden novella) oops!

    LOOKING FOR NOVELLAS & NEWSLETTERS.
    Dear Trish, I am definitely signed up for your newsletters (since 10'14) but have not received any (even checked spam folder). I'm especially interested in the Novellas bc I am so ready for Smoke to come out, I need Novellas to keep me in the "Forged" spirit.     I just finished binge reading Fire and Ash. I enjoyed it so much I even read my husband an excerpt and he immediately picked them up too. We can't wait to read Smoke and Ember. I hope your publishers quit pushing it back!
